Eligibility:

The minimum qualification required for admission to this programme is Bachelor’s Degree from any recognised University / Institute. Under each Regional Centre, for every Programme Study Centre only 100 students will be allotted per session per year. If the number of applicants is more, the admission will be done based on merit in their Bachelor’s Degree and/or higher qualification, as the case may be.

 PGCAE programme is meant for both in-service and  pre-service  graduates and others with higher qualification. The objectives of the programme are:
 

• To promote professional competency and capacity building of all those interested in the field of adult education, extension and allied areas.

• To develop their knowledge and understanding of various aspects of theory, policies and programmes of adult education.

• To promote their understanding of diverse approaches to organizing and managing an adult learning set up.

• To improve their knowledge and understanding of participatory curriculum planning, development and transaction as well as participatory training, evaluation and research in adult education.
